CHOOSE YOUR OUTFITS WITH INTENTION, BECAUSE WHAT YOU WEAR IMPACTS THE FINAL IMAGE.

STARTING WITH THE SIMPLE TIPS!

* Earthy tones.

*Mom pick your outfit first! It is stressful if you do it backwards and try to find yourself something based off the families. Mama inspo here!

*Dressing up elevates the final images, but don't limit yourself to a dress if that is not you. Get creative with a more casual style!

*Don't all wear the same color! You want to be cohesive but not matchy matchy.

-Patterns, mix of colors, layers, texture, solids, personality. Check here for family style inspo!

*Avoid super dark colors. You want to pop in front of the PNW scenery, not blend in! If one wears dark, no one else should- avoid blending together.

*Remove all hair ties from wrists. Keys and phones from pockets.

* Bring a fun blanket for sitting on.

MAMAS AND LADIES!

IT IS IMPORTANT FOR YOU TO PICK WHAT YOU ARE WEARING FIRST AND THEN EVERYONE ELSE TO FOLLOW. IF YOU BASE YOUR OUTFIT OFF OF ANOTHER FAMILY MEMBERS', YOU WILL FIND YOURSELF STRESSING ABOUT WHAT TO WEAR!

*Dresses are any easy, all-in-one outfit. Like a fancy onesie! Dresses offer movement to the photographs, holding the length of your dress in your hands gives you something to do with your hands, an element of whimsy is added to your photos.

-Choose a dress that is earth toned (caramel, rust, deep mustard, white, off white). These colors photograph well against the PNW scenery, as well as edit well with our editing style.

-Choose a dress light and flowy, or lengthy in fabric for movement.

-In the winter bring a chunky cardigan or layer with a chunky knit if you will be cold.

-Accessories such as a flat brimmed hat add personality.

*Don't limit yourself to a dress! If you have a lot of personality in your style already, show it off! If you are unsure of even how to dress casual and still bring style to your photos, check here for some inspo!

*Makeup-If you are the type to wear makeup, this is the time to do it and go all out! If you like a full face, lipstick and even fake eyelashes really help make you and your eyes stand out! Now, this is totally a preference thing. You do not have to wear makeup, this is just a tip for those who do! :)

GENTLEMEN

*Dress it up or go casual! Super easy half casual half dressy look- Oxford style shoes, caramel pants, crew neck or button up!

*Stick with earth tones! A neutral tee or off white would be best! If you can,avoid blues or chambray- they tend to make the overall image appear cold when trying to create warm images. (this is something we have found along the way in post/editing).

*Colored pants can be a great addition! Caramel or any earthy tone you may find! Light wash jeans for denim!

*Guys don't be afraid to be the fashionista if you want ha! You can layer with a blazer, denim jacket, puffy vest.. add a beanie or a flat brimmed hat. All of these add more personality! I know you wear beanies it's the PNW!

CHILDREN

*Stick with earth tones! Rust, caramel, olive, mustard, deep wine reds, jewel greens, earthy pinks if you must have pink ;).

*Girls- sweet dresses or jumpsuits offering details, texture, pattern, solids, ruffles. Add bows and bonnets! Find inspo here!

*Boys- Overalls, boy rompers, caramel pants with Henley tee (off white or earth tone), suspenders for detail! Beanies. If it is summer- Shorts, overalls with no shirt, any bottoms with no shirt to show off that little belly. Find inspo here!

BABIES!

*For IN-HOME OR STUDIO NEWBORN babies, wear soft and cozy neutrals (grays, off whites, whites, tans). This soft-feel compliments the new, squishy baby.

OR just a nakey baby in his diaper. Your baby will only be this small and fresh once, and the time is fleeting.

OR neutral/earthy tone swaddled! have a swaddle ready or bring one! I always bring an earthy colored swaddle ready to use if you don't!

-For an outdoor baby! Baby rompers, baby bloomers, and long socks, baby overalls, warm cozy layers. Neutral or earthy tones. Baby bonnets, knit or linen.

COUPLES!

*Refer to the ladies section for color recommendation or if you're into dresses. But I highly recommend couples to dress a bit more casual since we tend to get a lot more action-y than families! Think ripped jeans or high waist jeans paired with either a casual tee or a blouse with detail (off the shoulder, deep v, crop top, chunky knit). Overalls, jean shorts, jumpsuit! Midi skirt paired with blouse or sweater. Casual button down dress with sneakers.. Bring your personality into it if you are stylish! Here is some pinterest inspo!

SENIORS!

-Girls! Earthy tones. Midi dress! Jumpsuit! High waisted jeans and a blouse that offers detail! Cardigan to throw over any outfit if it's cold! Or something that reflects your style, keeping in mind the color suggestions.

-Boys! Earthy tones. Carmel pants or light wash jeans paired with crew neck or button up, anything that reflects your style keeping in mind the color recommendations. Avoid logos or words on t shirts.
