I truly felt like I was a fly on the wall, sitting back and watching their love story. Like a stranger watching two people in love, but also as comfortable as a friend. This is exactly what couple or engagement session should be like!

The Military brings so many wonderful people here. Many times, we have photographed engagements in which the couple is still separated by distance, and on vacation visiting their stationed fiance here on Whidbey. The blessing of these particular sessions is feeling like I have made friends with someone who will be moving here soon and I am happy to be someone they can call on as this becomes their new home. I believe our work as photographers and artists is so much bigger than just that. It is about human connection, capturing that, and nurturing it.
